The MWD Field Operator is a critical field-based role dedicated to the operation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of Measurement While Drilling (MWD) tools. This position serves as the technical backbone for directional drilling and drilling teams, ensuring the delivery of accurate real-time downhole data—including inclination, azimuth, toolface, and gamma measurements. The role demands a high level of technical troubleshooting capability and the ability to work independently within the demanding environment of a rig site.
This position is based in Midland, TX (Permian) and operates on a rotation schedule dependent on the rig schedule. The role involves a rotational field assignment within a 24-hour rig operations environment. Operators must be prepared to work in outdoor conditions subject to heat, cold, wind, and noise, while maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational procedures.
