We are seeking a c-UAS Trainer/RPV Pilot to join the Engineering, System Integration Directorate (ESID). In this role, you will be responsible for conducting instructional training and designing specific materials for UAS and cUAS operations. Your work will encompass conducting needs assessments, curriculum design, and developing or updating content to meet critical training requirements.
You will serve as a vital link between technical capabilities and operational readiness, supporting the training of US and Coalition Forces. This position requires a unique blend of hands-on piloting expertise and the ability to translate complex technical knowledge into actionable instruction for diverse audiences, from low- to high-ranking personnel.

Your day-to-day will involve operating COTS UAS multi-rotor platforms and supporting systems to gather intelligence for mission planning, sensor operations, and vehicle recovery. You will be responsible for the acquisition, fabrication, modification, programming, and maintenance of RPVs for test events, including launching and recovering air vehicles while performing pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks.
You will also define vulnerabilities and critical infrastructure regarding threats from UAS/RPV, analyzing Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) such as emplacement and photo TTPs. This role demands readiness to deploy to various Areas of Responsibility (AORs) for up to 6 months at a time, rotating with other deployers, and the ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS on short notice to disseminate relevant threat information.
Candidates must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance and successfully complete CRC to deploy to the CENTCOM theater. Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP). Ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 (sUAS Remote Pilot Certificate). Experience with all RPV (land, air, and sea) and ability to design/fabricate with limited instructions or pre-built kits. Ability to take technical RPV knowledge and inform/instruct others about the technology, capabilities, and limitations, and impacts to DoD capabilities.
