Reporting to the Underground Construction Manager, the Mine Planner plays a pivotal role in the Red Dog MLE Project. This position is accountable for creating value and mitigating risks associated with underground mine planning. The role exists to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective extraction of mineral resources by developing and maintaining short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans.
In this position, you will serve as a courageous safety leader, sponsoring Teck's values and embedding a robust HSEC program and culture. You will collaborate closely with project, functional, and operational leadership teams to review and monitor mine plans, estimates, budgets, and schedules. Your day-to-day involves optimizing production schedules, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. You will also engage with Indigenous Governments and Organizations (IGO) and First Nations contractors, providing leadership and strategies to support the work.
