About the Role
Sam’s Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to support its daily warehouse club operations by hiring Merchandise and Stocking Associates. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency and organization of the store, ensuring that members have access to well-stocked shelves and a clean shopping environment. Associates play a key part in the logistics of the warehouse, from receiving deliveries to preparing the sales floor for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, you will be responsible for the physical movement and organization of merchandise. Your day typically involves unloading trucks and moving pallets using equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts. You will stock shelves and bulk displays, rotate inventory to ensure freshness and accuracy, and organize backroom inventory. Additionally, you will ensure that all products are properly labeled and displayed according to standards.
Beyond stocking duties, you may assist members with locating merchandise, helping to enhance the customer experience. You will also help maintain store cleanliness and organization, safety standards, and set up promotional displays. Overnight shifts focus primarily on stocking and preparing the store for the store for opening, allowing for a quieter environment to complete these tasks efficiently.
