About the Role
Sam’s Club is seeking Merchandise and Stocking Associates to join our team and support daily warehouse club operations. This role is essential for maintaining a well-stocked, organized, and safe shopping environment for our members. Associates play a key part in the behind-the-scenes work that ensures products are available, properly displayed, and ready for customers.
Day in the Life
As a Merchandise and Stocking Associate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the store running smoothly. Your day may involve unloading delivery trucks, moving pallets using pallet jacks or forklifts, and transporting merchandise to the sales floor. You will stock shelves and bulk displays, rotate inventory to ensure freshness, and organize backroom storage areas. Additionally, you will label merchandise, set up promotional displays, and assist members in locating products. Maintaining store cleanliness and adhering to safety standards are also key parts of your responsibilities.
Overnight shifts typically focus on stocking and preparing the store for opening, providing a unique opportunity to work in a quieter environment while ensuring the club is ready for the next day's business.
