Children's Hospital of Michigan is an international leader in pediatric and adolescent medicine. Our surgical services include general, thoracic, reconstructive, and cardiovascular procedures. We utilize imaging technology designed specifically for children to provide advanced diagnostic services, including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and MRI. Our Emergency Department is a verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and a dedicated pediatric burn center. Experts in pediatric critical care, rehabilitation, and neonatal and perinatal medicine provide care for thousands of children annually across our main campus, the Troy location, and six ambulatory sites.

Under general supervision, you will perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures. Your day will involve analyzing test results, preparing samples for testing, and calculating findings while maintaining accurate records. You will also prepare and determine the validity of solutions, reagents, media, stains, and various materials used in the testing process.
In this role, you will process and test all types of laboratory specimens, review and report lab results, and perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. You will also serve as a resource to other laboratory personnel, utilizing your analytical ability to interpret results and your interpersonal skills to work effectively with all areas of the physician office.
