The Flex Medical Technician serves as a vital component of our laboratory operations, reporting to section managers under general supervision. This role is designed to provide flexible support across a wide array of specialized testing environments, including Transfusion Services, Fast Flow, Microbiology, ART OR Lab, Specialized Testing Laboratories, Referral Testing, and Ambulatory Care Laboratories.
In this position, you will perform a variety of routine and specialized diagnostic medical lab tests as requested by healthcare staff, adhering strictly to established protocols. Your day-to-day responsibilities include preparing specimens for microscopic examination, operating automated laboratory instrumentation, and executing quality control and assurance procedures. You will also be responsible for accurately recording lab results in the specified system while maintaining the highest standards of privacy, safety, and biohazard compliance.
