About the Role
We are seeking a skilled nurse to join our Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population, closely monitoring vitals, cardiac rhythms, and post-surgical recovery. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and ensure safe transitions of care.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
- check_circleContinuously monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry and vital sign changes
- check_circlePerform comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- check_circleAdminister medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and hospital policy
- check_circleDocument assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record in a timely and accurate manner
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and optimize patient care and discharge planning
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions to promote understanding and adherence
- check_circleRecognize and respond to emergencies and rapid changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate interventions and escalation protocols
- check_circleAdhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards and participate in unit-based initiatives
- check_circleAdapt quickly to new hospital environments, workflows, and teams as part of rotating travel assignments
Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in state of practice or compact state eligibility
- verifiedBasic Life Support (BLS) certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- verifiedTelemetry rhythm interpretation competency
Nice to Have
NIH Stroke Scale certification. Previous Med-Surg or Telemetry Travel Nurse experience.
