The Medical Laboratory Assistant supports pre-analytical and post-analytical functions within Essentia Health Laboratories, playing a vital role in promoting patient safety. This position is dedicated to the accurate collection and processing of specimens, as well as performing waived laboratory testing in strict adherence to accreditation agency standards and state licensure requirements.

Hiring Process
Candidates must be graduates of a Medical Laboratory Assistant Program or complete an internal training program within one year of hire. Those with Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Assistant ASCP certification, recent specimen preparation experience, and a valid motor vehicle operator's license are preferred.
