About the Role
The Medical Assistant serves as a vital support member within our Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, working directly alongside a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). This role is designed to ensure the seamless delivery of care by managing both clinical and administrative workflows. You will be the first point of contact for clients, helping to create a welcoming environment while maintaining the operational efficiency of the clinic.
In this position, you will handle a variety of patient-facing tasks, including verifying patient information, recording medical histories, and capturing vital signs such as blood pressure, height, weight, and temperature. You will explain procedures to patients, prepare them for examinations, and assist the provider during exams as needed. Beyond clinical duties, you will manage the flow of medical records, maintain inventory of medical supplies, and perform preventative maintenance on clinic equipment to ensure everything operates smoothly.
The role also encompasses essential front-office responsibilities, such as answering multi-line phones, greeting patients, updating files, verifying insurance, and handling correspondence between patients and providers. Success in this role requires a strong ability to balance administrative precision with compassionate patient care, ensuring that every client receives the attention and support they need.

Requirements
