About the Role

As a Level B Fleet Mechanic/Technician, you will serve as a journeyman-level expert responsible for the independent diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across refuse trucks, heavy trucks/tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role is critical to maintaining high fleet uptime and ensuring full DOT compliance.

In this position, you will go beyond standard repairs to mentor Level C technicians, guiding them on best practices, safety protocols, and troubleshooting techniques. You will act as a key support resource for road calls and breakdowns throughout the NYC tri-state area, performing safe temporary or permanent repairs to return vehicles to service or coordinating towing as needed. Your work ensures that our fleet operates efficiently in demanding urban environments.
