About the Role

Art of Problem Solving is seeking an Upper-Level Math Instructor to join their Virtual Campus team. This part-time position offers an after-school and weekend enrichment option for students, focusing on engaging middle and high school learners in a live virtual environment.

The role is designed for educators who prefer student-led instruction, fostering discussions where students do the heavy lifting. Instructors create an engaging classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and problem-solving, utilizing software such as Zoom to teach in a live virtual setting.

Day in the Life

Instructors teach enthusiastic middle and high school students in online classrooms, using AoPS curriculum to lead participation-oriented classes. The focus is on instruction and developing skills rather than rote memorization. Classes are small, with an average size of 12, consisting of top-performing students who are passionate about learning and motivated to succeed.

Schedule and Availability

Year-Round courses are offered late afternoons to evenings between 4pm ET and 10pm ET, Monday through Friday. On Sundays, classes run from 10am ET to 9pm ET. Summer camps are held Monday through Friday between June and August, running for 1, 2, or 4 weeks for 1.5 or 3 hours per day.

Location and Work Authorization

At this time, we are only hiring instructors who are located in and authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.
