This Manufacturing Test Engineer position is a long-term remote contract designed to support high-volume electrical system testing across a global footprint. The role serves as a critical bridge between hardware and software engineering teams, focusing on the setup of factory test lines, networking requirements, and data collection strategies that span multiple international sites.
You will manage 3-4 low voltage test system projects simultaneously, requiring the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems from the component level up to the full system. A key part of this position is driving efficiency through the automation of daily processes and the development of robust testing protocols. Success in this role demands clear, effective communication with management regarding status updates, issue resolution, improvement plans, and process recommendations.
We value candidates who thrive in diverse, cross-cultural environments. This role requires collaboration with organizations across different regions, particularly those with experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) and Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) in Asia or Mexico. The ideal candidate possesses an electrical engineering background with a strong aptitude for coding, having learned to bridge the gap between hardware design and software implementation.
Interested candidates should highlight their hands-on experience with NI LabView, TestStand, and mainstream programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or C++. We are specifically looking for individuals with 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing and test development experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates regardless of background.
