Manufacturing Manager Trainee

About the Role

This position serves as a comprehensive learning track for future leadership within our Midwest Manufacturing production facility. The primary objective is to master all aspects of production, management, and supervision operations. You will be responsible for ensuring products are built efficiently while meeting acceptable lead times for all orders.

In this role, you will actively set and evaluate production quotas regarding both quantity and quality. You will lead team members in your specific area, collaborating closely with supervisors and managers to achieve organizational goals. A key part of your day-to-day involves identifying and implementing innovative ideas to improve current processes, ultimately driving the facility toward the highest possible profit margins.

You will also oversee facility maintenance and utilization, ensuring all production areas remain in good repair, orderly, and clean. This includes maximizing equipment capacity to fulfill orders and balancing inventory levels to ensure maximum turnover while maintaining strong in-stock positions.

Safety and Culture

Safety is a foundational pillar of our operations. You will be tasked with enforcing all safety policies, ensuring training is current, and verifying that all equipment is properly guarded and maintained. Documentation of safety training and maintenance is a critical responsibility. We foster an environment of open communication where team members feel empowered to discuss safety issues immediately.

Hiring Process

Candidates for this role must be willing and able to relocate to other plant locations as promotions become available. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish effective working relationships tactfully.
