About the Team

As the largest global pure-play sustainability consultancy, ERM partners with the world's leading organizations to create innovative solutions to sustainability challenges. Our diverse team of world-class experts supports clients across the breadth of their organizations to operationalize sustainability, underpinned by deep technical expertise in addressing environmental, health, safety, risk, and social issues. We call this capability our "boots to boardroom" approach, allowing us to develop strategic and technical solutions that advance objectives on the ground or at the executive level.

At ERM, we know that creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment is an essential part of making our company a great place to build a career. We see our diversity as a strength that helps us create better solutions for our clients.

About the Role

Ready to shape the future of water resources and environmental solutions? In this leadership-track role, you will step into a position where your hydrogeologic expertise supports some of the most technically compelling site investigation, remediation, and water resource projects across the U.S. and internationally.

Our clients depend on ERM to help them understand groundwater systems, model environmental risks, and make informed decisions that protect communities, natural resources, and critical infrastructure. As a Managing Consultant, Scientist (Hydrogeology), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, defensible technical work that shapes sustainable outcomes across industries including mining, water supply, energy, and manufacturing.

This role blends technical depth, project influence, and collaboration with subject matter leaders. If you are a hands-on hydrogeologist who loves solving complex subsurface puzzles and wants to work alongside some of the world's best technical experts, this is your next big move. You will drive forward environmental and water resource projects, lead the development of 3D geological and groundwater flow models, and bring clarity to complex systems through compelling data visualization and well-crafted technical deliverables.

Hiring Process

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter to apply.

Note: ERM does not accept recruiting agency resumes. Please do not forward resumes to our jobs alias, ERM employees, or any other company location. ERM is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
