About the Role
The Maintenance Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving maintenance and electrical training programs. This role supports equipment reliability, workforce capability, safety, and operational excellence within a union manufacturing environment.
You will partner closely with Maintenance, Reliability, E&I, and Operations leaders to ensure employees are trained, qualified, and certified to perform work safely and effectively. The position applies a systematic approach to training (ADDIE/SAT) to align learning with business needs, reliability goals, and mill performance metrics. Your day-to-day involves building task-based curricula, developing learning materials, and coaching Subject Matter Experts on instructional techniques to ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDesign and implement structured maintenance and electrical training programs using ADDIE/SAT principles
- check_circleBuild and maintain task-based curricula aligned with equipment criticality and reliability strategies
- check_circleDevelop learning materials including procedures, job aids, troubleshooting guides, and safety content
- check_circleAdminister and maintain certification and qualification programs for maintenance and electrical roles
- check_circleTrack training completion, attendance, and re-certification requirements using LMS tools
- check_circleConduct training needs and performance analyses to identify skill gaps and learning priorities
- check_circleMaintain and support mill apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs
- check_circleCollaborate with project teams to ensure employees are trained on new equipment and systems
- check_circleReview training effectiveness through feedback and assessments to continuously improve programs
- check_circleCoordinate classroom, on-the-job, and digital training sessions for maintenance and E&I employees
Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability, or corporate/technical training
- verifiedExperience in developing and delivering technical training materials
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
- verifiedExperience managing or utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) (preferred)
- verifiedExperience with task-based OJT programs (preferred)
- verifiedAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics (preferred)
