About the Role
The Lot Attendant serves as the frontline guardian of the dealership's physical presence and vehicle inventory. This position ensures that every vehicle on the lot is presented in its best light, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and compliance to support the sales team and enhance the customer experience.
Day in the Life
Your day begins with a thorough inspection of the lot, ensuring all inventory vehicles are clean, presentable, and properly marked with dealership plate frames and advertising plates. You will organize vehicles according to their status—whether they are wholesale, on payoff, awaiting title, or waiting for a works check—adhering strictly to Ira Sales Management specifications.
A key part of your responsibility involves the meticulous check-in of new vehicles from manufacturers and used vehicles from auctions. You will document any damage upon arrival and ensure all necessary stickers, including factory decals, warranty information, and buyer's guides, are displayed correctly. As inventory sells, you will immediately replace empty spaces with fresh, marketable stock to keep the lot looking vibrant.
Beyond vehicle presentation, you will manage key inventory for both new and used cars and perform occasional interior maintenance or odd jobs as needed. You are expected to follow all company policies, maintain a clean work environment, and report any issues or illegal activities to your supervisor promptly.
