About the Role
The Loss Prevention Officer is instrumental in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff. By proactively patrolling the property, responding to incidents, and assisting in emergencies, you will help maintain the integrity of the hotel's operations and enhance the overall guest experience. Your role ensures that every individual on the premises feels protected while the property remains compliant with all regulations and internal policies.
What You'll Do
In this position, you will patrol lobbies, corridors, and public rooms to detect fires, unsafe conditions, or damaged safety equipment. You will interact with guests and employees to investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, and vandalism, taking appropriate action to warn or eject troublemakers. You will also assist accident victims, file necessary reports, and notify staff regarding individuals with questionable reputations. During emergency situations, you will work alongside management and enforcement officers to ensure safety. Additionally, you may be tasked with entering and checking rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying to confirm suspicions and secure remaining personal property.
Who You Are
To succeed in this role, you must be consistently alert to detect disturbances, suspicious behavior, and safety risks across the hotel premises. You should be capable of responding swiftly and calmly to emergencies, accidents, or security concerns, securing assistance as needed. Strong verbal communication skills are essential to interact professionally with guests, team members, and local authorities.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in security, loss prevention, or a guest-facing safety role is preferred.
