About the Role
Glenbard Township High School District 87 is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to support our World Language department at Glenbard East High School. This position is designed to ensure continuity of learning during a teacher's extended absence, maintaining the academic momentum for our students.
In this role, you will step into a dynamic classroom environment, teaching three classes plus a resource period. Your primary focus will be on German 3H (two sections) and German 4H/AP (one section), alongside a "Ram Time" resource block. You will be expected to deliver instruction based on the existing curriculum, supplementing lesson plans with interactive technology to engage students effectively. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Department Chair and other staff members for mentorship and collaboration, ensuring a supportive professional experience while upholding the district's high standards for ethical and professional conduct.
