Penske is more than just the yellow trucks; it is a stable, nationwide company known for having the best equipment, great management, clear communication, and a fantastic safety record. We are proud to haul freight for some of the world's leading brands, representing both Penske and our clients with incredible customer service and strong account relationships. As a Local Class A Floater, you will drive late-model, Penske-maintained trucks equipped with best-in-class specs designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras. Your primary mission is to perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships at various dedicated accounts and shifts as needed. You will be responsible for unloading trailers using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages, as well as scanning products as they are delivered. This role offers the opportunity to be on the move with a career that grows alongside you, with tons of training opportunities available and the flexibility to move to a new city across the nation.
We are ready to put your truck-driving career in high gear. You will be home daily, and we pay every Friday. Beyond the road, you will be part of a culture that values safety and stability. We offer a premier driver recognition program, a safety incentive program, and a driver referral bonus program. Our benefits plan is designed to keep associates and their families happy, healthy, and secure, starting with paid vacation and holidays on day one.
To join the team, you must complete the Penske employment application and submit to a background investigation, which includes a review of past employment, education, and criminal history, as well as a drug screening. This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation and designated as safety-sensitive, requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. You must be able to accept responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
