About the Role
Aldridge Pite, LLP is currently looking for an Associate Attorney to be responsible for handling litigated matters for the firm, with emphasis on defensive litigation involving residential real estate, title to real property, mortgages and foreclosure. Candidates must have excellent written and oral advocacy skills and experience with all aspects of civil litigation.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage all aspects of contested litigation stemming from mortgage servicing and/or foreclosure matters
- check_circleManage pre-litigation cases and assist with clearing title to real property
- check_circlePrepare analysis of cases and advise clients regarding litigation strategies
- check_circleDraft court pleadings and motions
- check_circleAttend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and make court appearances
- check_circleConduct discovery including taking and defending depositions
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- verifiedMember of the California state bar
- verifiedMinimum of 2-8 years of litigation experience in real estate or mortgage servicing preferred
- verifiedDemonstrated ability to consistently bill 1920 hours per year
- verifiedProficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- verifiedKnowledge of consumer protection statutes such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act is preferred
