About the Role
You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and perform as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. The Medical Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager as applicable) for operational guidance and under the management of the Center Physician for medical issues.
The Medical Support Specialist will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment. The Medical Support Specialist follows guidance provided by BioLife Medical Affairs and provides center level support of environmental, health and safety (EHS).

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupport Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- check_circleManage employee incidents and determine need for occupational health evaluation
- check_circleReview laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
- check_circleManage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs
- check_circleHandle medical emergencies and coordinate donor transport to care facilities
- check_circleDetermine donor eligibility through medical history interviews and physical examinations
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verifiedGraduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- verifiedCurrently licensed or certified as LPN or LVN in the state of assignment
- verifiedCurrent CPR and AED certification
- verifiedFulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- verifiedTwo years in a clinical or hospital setting
