About the Role
Join our team as a PRN LPN! This role offers the flexibility to make your own schedule and pick up shifts that work for you. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
Demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, you will demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge. You will utilize appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed.
You will demonstrate the ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation. Ensuring the health, comfort and safety of residents is paramount. You will contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered, while providing technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
Documentation of resident interactions, including outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary, is a key part of this role. You will be skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
