Lead Staff members are integral parts of a care team dedicated to leading and maintaining a safe, supervised, and structured living environment for adolescent residents. This position is designed to foster a setting conducive to the well-being of youth, where staff actively assess group dynamics and individual needs to promote improved social, developmental, educational, and physical functioning.
Success in this role requires a genuine care for the success of the youth and the ability to deeply understand their perspectives. You will work alongside residents to support the achievement of treatment goals by engaging them in healthy and productive daily activities. As a shift lead, you will guide the team in facilitating crisis counseling, conflict resolution, and problem-solving, ensuring that client treatment objectives are seamlessly incorporated into daily care.
Our care teams operate with a focus on resilience and compassion. We look for individuals who are caring and resilient, capable of navigating the complexities of residential youth care. Whether you come from a background in caregiving, schools, childcare, law enforcement, corrections, youth camps, or volunteering in a helping role, your experience in supporting young people is valued here.
This position operates on a rotating schedule that includes nine-hour shifts, typically during daytime hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM. The role requires a commitment to weekend and holiday coverage, with shifts scheduled every other weekend. While the schedule involves rotation, full-time employees enjoy every other weekend off.
We are seeking candidates who meet the core requirements of being at least 21 years of age and holding a valid driver's license. While a Bachelor's degree in a human or social services field and previous residential youth experience are preferred, they are not strictly required. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of adolescents, we invite you to apply.
We are an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our care teams reflect the communities we serve.
