About the Role
This 5-week contract opportunity is based in Englewood, Colorado, focusing on the critical functions of a Medical Technologist within an acute care hospital setting. The position supports the laboratory's mission to deliver accurate diagnostic data by managing the full lifecycle of analytic testing.
You will serve as a key operator of laboratory instrumentation, performing complex analytic tests and rigorously reviewing and releasing results to ensure patient safety. The role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting instrument issues to maintain workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will interact with key stakeholders, including the responsibility of phoning critical results and confirming orders to facilitate timely clinical decision-making.
Shift and Schedule
This position operates on a night shift schedule from 22:30 to 07:00. The rotation follows a 7-on, 7-off pattern, providing extended blocks of time off between work weeks.
Application Details
Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of current acute care Med Tech hospital experience. Certification as a technologist is required, with a preference for MLS(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP) credentials. Prior experience in Blood Bank and familiarity with HCA or Meditech systems are highly valued.
