The QC Chemist (Raw Material) is a 12-month onsite position based in Indianapolis, IN, designed to support the technical aspects of quality control testing readiness. This role is critical for ensuring that QC reagents, materials, and equipment are prepared and maintained in full compliance with GMP regulations, procedures, and product specifications.
In this position, you will manage sample processing, execute QC testing, and oversee documentation completion and review. The role requires a strong foundation in Compendia standards (USP, EP, BP, JP, CP) and the ability to interpret analytical data to produce accurate technical documentation. You will be responsible for finished product testing, environmental monitoring, and sterility QC testing, while also managing escalations for non-conformances and deviations.
The day-to-day involves participating in qualification and validation activities, supporting deviation investigations (OOS/OOT/OOE), and managing CAPA follow-ups and change controls. You will also play a key role in maintaining a robust quality culture by preparing analytical batch records, adhering to Good Documentation Practices, and supporting internal and external audits and inspections.
This is a 100% onsite role located in Indianapolis. The initial work schedule is 1st Shift, Thursday through Sunday (8 am–6 pm), with a potential transition to a Wednesday–Saturday schedule.
