Barkaritaville Pet Resort is a locally owned and operated facility in San Antonio with over 30 years of experience. We are dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for dogs of all sizes. Our team is professional and experienced, committed to pet wellness and treating every client's pet as our own. Our San Antonio location features the largest indoor play spaces in the area, covered outdoor yards, and a unique bone-shaped swimming pool.
About the Role
As a Kennel Attendant, you will play a hands-on role in the daily care of dogs staying with us. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about animals, dependable, and enjoys staying active in a fun, supportive, and respected environment. Whether you are looking to build a long-term career or pick up part-time hours doing something meaningful, you will help us deliver top-notch care.
You will work closely with other team members to maintain a clean, positive, and organized environment. This job keeps you moving; expect to be lifting, bending, and on your feet most of your shift. You must be comfortable working both indoors and outside in various weather conditions, including heat and rain. Your day will involve monitoring and interacting with dogs in group and individual settings, cleaning suites and play areas, providing basic grooming tasks like bathing, and ensuring pets are eating, drinking, and acting normally.
