About the Role

Your Petco Grooming Career begins here as a Junior Pet Stylist. This role is designed for those with a genuine passion for animals who want to start a career in the pet care industry. You will join a team of seasoned groomers to learn the fundamentals of grooming in a supportive, hands-on environment.

During a ten-week training period, you will master essential tasks such as brushing, bathing, drying, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning. Under close supervision, you will assist in the grooming process while prioritizing the comfort, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain industry-leading experience, and set the foundation for a long-term career with Petco Grooming.

Training Program

Our industry-leading program is structured to ensure you are fully prepared:

• Weeks 1-3 (Learning & On-the-Job Training): You will learn dog behavior, pet and self-safety, check-in/out procedures, customer service, and grooming policies. This phase focuses on mastering bathing and drying techniques.
• Weeks 3-10 (Performing & Achieving Productivity): You will begin performing bathing and walk-in services while working toward weekly productivity goals.
