The IT Network Administrator III is a key member of the Network team within Information Technology Services (ITS) at North Carolina Central University. Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, this role serves as a vital advocate for the university's comprehensive network infrastructure. The team works closely with ITS leadership, senior administration, academic leaders, and the broader campus community to ensure robust connectivity and security.
This position is dedicated to advancing the university's network ecosystem, encompassing advanced networking, communications, cabling, network security, and research infrastructure. The Network Specialist plays a strategic role in developing network plans and budgets while maintaining a sophisticated balance between infrastructure needs, security strategies, and campus priorities.\n Success in this role requires a leadership approach that is engaging, innovative, and collaborative. The incumbent will work directly with the Information Security department to manage access and data security, ensuring the integrity of the university's digital assets. The position demands deep knowledge of enterprise networks, cloud networking, virtualization, enterprise communications, and emerging technologies to support the evolving needs of the campus community.
