The Inventory Specialist is a vital part of the Beltsville, MD warehouse team, serving as the primary point of contact for the flow of company assets. This role exists to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory from the moment it arrives on a freight carrier until it is prepared for customer delivery. You will be responsible for the end-to-end physical handling of products, including unloading, scanning, inspecting, and organizing assets within the facility.
In this position, you will work closely with the Manager of Installation and Warehouse to maintain a safe and efficient environment. Your day involves a dynamic mix of physical labor and data management, utilizing handheld barcode scanners and computer systems to track inventory in SnapTracker. You will be the first line of defense for product quality, inspecting items for freight damage and flagging those needing repair, while ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are reconciled against packing and delivery tickets.
Candidates meeting the qualifications will be contacted for an interview to discuss experience with warehouse operations and inventory management. Selected candidates will undergo a background check and may be required to demonstrate physical capabilities relevant to the role.
