About the Role

WAGI is seeking a full-time Insurance Verification Specialist to join our Scheduling Team. In this role, you will support Schedulers with the review of insurance eligibility, ensuring accurate and timely verification for our patients. This position is primarily remote, allowing you to work from home with training conducted onsite in Tacoma, WA.

Remote Work Requirements

Candidates must reside and work in Washington State. Due to unique city ordinances that impact employers, WAGI does not allow anyone to work remotely from Seattle, WA. To succeed in this remote capacity, you must meet the following conditions:

  • Maintain a minimum internet connection and have surge protection in your home.
  • Provide a home work environment free from distractions, background noise, and potential hazards (including tripping and electrical hazards).
  • Secure and protect WAGI-supplied computer, phone, and systems, ensuring the protection of Personal Health Information (PHI).
  • Adhere to a standard schedule based on the hours of operation.

Compensation and Benefits

WAGI offers an excellent compensation and benefit package for full-time employees (defined as working 30 or more hours per week):

  • Health Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, and basic life insurance.
  • Retirement: Enrollment in the company’s 401(k) plan, including a company-provided safe harbor contribution of 3% of annual earnings and the potential for a company discretionary profit-sharing contribution.
  • Time Off:
    • Accrual of PTO at a rate of .04 hours per payroll hour (1.6 hours for a 40-hour week), which exceeds required mandatory WA State and other local ordinances.
    • Vacation accrual with a maximum annual accrual of 77 hours for new hires.
    • 8 standard paid Holidays per year.
    • 1 Float Holiday per year that can be scheduled.

This is an hourly position with an anticipated compensation range of $18.06 – $22.31. The hired applicant is also eligible for annual discretionary bonuses.
