About the Role

We are seeking a Claims Counsel to specialize in complex Environmental Insurance matters within our Peoria, IL office. This role is pivotal for evaluating, processing, and managing claims related to Toxic Tort, Environmental, Pollution, and Asbestos liabilities. The position offers a hybrid work model, with remote work from home available for qualified candidates.

In this capacity, you will analyze claim submissions to determine potential coverage and assess liability. You will be responsible for directing the appropriate course of action to resolve claims, which includes engaging and managing outside counsel during litigation or curative efforts. A key component of the role involves negotiating settlements to resolve disputes and reviewing insured-related expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
