Job Description

About AMBA

For over 65 years, AMBA has proudly served retired public servants by offering access to supplemental insurance benefits they may not receive through traditional retirement plans. We partner with 450+ associations across all 50 states and Canada — representing over 44 million members, including educators, first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, trade professionals, and more.

In New Mexico, we are exclusively endorsed by the New Mexico Association of Educational Retirees and Retired Public Employees of New Mexico.

Why Partner with AMBA

We provide a proven system with structured processes, support, and brand reputation to help you grow your business. You will have access to leads at no cost through exclusive association access, though outbound calling remains a significant part of the role where persistence and follow-up drive results.

This is purpose-driven work focused on helping protect the retirement and financial well-being of those who spent their careers serving others. As an independent contractor, you enjoy entrepreneurial freedom by managing your own schedule, while maintaining a consistent full-time commitment essential for success.

What You'll Do

You will meet virtually or in person with association members to understand their needs and recommend supplemental insurance solutions. This includes educating clients through one-on-one consultations, webinars, and group presentations.

Using a consultative sales approach, you will help retirees protect their health, income, and legacy — including options like Fixed Indexed Annuities for long-term retirement planning. You will stay engaged with ongoing training, mentorship, and business planning to continuously improve your performance.

Who Thrives Here

We encourage you to apply if you have an entrepreneurial mindset with a self-starter attitude. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, as is a commitment to providing exceptional service and follow-through.

You should have a Life & Health license or be willing to obtain one — we will guide you through the process. A desire to grow your income and independence with a performance-driven model is key.

Compensation & Perks

We offer performance-based commissions with advanced payouts and lifetime vesting. There is no income cap, with average first-year earnings ranging from $70K–$90K, and top agents earning $100K+. Additional monthly bonuses and travel incentives are available to top destinations.

You will receive ongoing sales training, onboarding, and mentorship. Access to experienced local leadership, a dedicated Sales Support team, and onboarding specialists is committed to your success. There are also advancement opportunities in a rapidly growing national company.
