Job Description
About AMBA
For over 65 years, AMBA has proudly served retired public servants by offering access to supplemental insurance benefits they may not receive through traditional retirement plans. We partner with 450+ associations across all 50 states and Canada — representing over 44 million members, including educators, first responders, veterans, healthcare workers, trade professionals, and more.
In Oregon, AMBA is the exclusive endorsed provider for the Oregon Retired Educators Association giving direct access to their members and communities.
Why Partner with AMBA
This role offers an entrepreneurial path where you leverage our structured processes, support, and brand reputation to grow your business. We provide leads at no cost to you through exclusive association access, but outbound calling is still a big part of the role — persistence and follow-up drive results.
You will engage in purpose-driven work, helping protect the retirement and financial well-being of those who spent their careers serving others. As an independent contractor, you enjoy entrepreneurial freedom by managing your schedule, though consistent full-time effort is essential to succeed in this role.
The Role
As a Benefits Representative, you will meet virtually or in person with association members to understand their needs and recommend supplemental insurance solutions. You will educate clients through one-on-one consultations, webinars, and group presentations. Using a consultative sales approach, you will help retirees protect their health, income, and legacy — including options like Fixed Indexed Annuities for long-term retirement planning.
We are looking for individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset and a self-starter attitude. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are key, as is a commitment to providing exceptional service and follow-through. A Life & Health license is required, or willingness to obtain — we’ll guide you through the process. We offer comprehensive training from licensing support to ongoing sales coaching, product education, and business planning, setting you up for long-term success whether you're new to insurance or ready to launch your career.
