This position is within the Property & Material Damage Division, specifically the Property Damage Department. You will exercise independent discretion and judgment in telephonically handling property claims within a designated level of authority. The role is based in our Lexington, KY Claims Office and operates under ERIE's hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for policyholders regarding property claims. Your day will involve conducting investigations, interviewing insureds and witnesses, and inspecting damage as needed to prepare accurate estimates. You will evaluate coverage recommendations, manage claim reserves, and determine appropriate payments or declines. Beyond the core claims handling, you will identify subrogation opportunities, collaborate with agents and district sales managers, and stay current on policy changes and new legislation through industry training. You may also be called upon to participate on a Catastrophe Team during periods of heavy volume.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be willing to obtain a Kentucky Adjuster's License. The role requires a valid driver's license and a good driving record is preferred. Successful candidates will be expected to complete Technical Learning Center Training.
