Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer - Sr Cloud to support our Federal Strategic Cyber programs. Based in the National Capital Region (NCR), this role serves as a Task Lead dedicated to upholding rigorous cyber security program standards and compliance.
In this position, you will act as a bridge between complex technical requirements and strategic mission goals. You will be responsible for writing security policies and procedures, managing Security Authorization packages (CSS, SSP, SSPP), and assessing all ATO artifacts. The role demands expert knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) v5 and the ability to utilize eMASS to execute workflows, manage Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M), and track security controls.
A key aspect of your day-to-day involves collaborating with IT counterparts, system administrators, and developers to coordinate STIG remediation and communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. You will conduct risk assessments, monitor security incidents, and respond appropriately to security threats, ensuring the integrity of network technologies, operating systems, and cloud environments.
