About the Role
The Occupational Therapist serves as a vital member of the clinical team at Aveanna, responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and administration of high-quality occupational therapy services. This full-time position is based in Charlotte County, operating Monday through Friday. The role exists to ensure patients receive comprehensive care that aligns with physician-prescribed plans, fostering recovery and independence through targeted therapeutic interventions.
In this position, you will act as a resource consultant for clinical staff and a key communicator between the healthcare team, physicians, and families. Your day involves conducting written evaluations to define patient needs and goals, developing detailed Plans of Care for nursing staff, and supervising personnel such as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) when required. You will actively participate in discharge planning, attend patient case conferences, and provide weekly progress reports to physicians, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient well-being.

Requirements
