About the Role
Vaco by Highspring is seeking an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Specialist to join a client's Information Security team in Downtown Birmingham. This fully on-site position is critical for maintaining technical standards and implementing robust IAM controls across business-critical systems. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, you will play a key role in architecting, implementing, and executing a risk-based IAM strategy to ensure strong authentication and authorization frameworks.
In this role, you will serve as the primary advisor for identity management operations, bridging the gap between technical implementation and organizational security policies. You will manage user access lifecycles, support complex authentication workflows like SSO and MFA, and ensure the organization remains audit-ready. The position offers a dynamic environment where you will collaborate with data owners and application teams to integrate security standards into the daily operations of the business.

Requirements
