Located at the Kettering Health Main Campus, the Health Unit Coordinator/Nursing Assistant (HUC NA) serves as a vital member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. This position offers a unique dual focus, combining the operational coordination of a Health Unit Coordinator with the direct patient care responsibilities of a Nursing Assistant.
In this role, you will support patients with activities of daily living and perform patient care skills as delegated by the licensed nurse, strictly adhering to the Ohio Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Beyond direct care, you will collaborate with unit leadership to coordinate the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit. This includes processing patient records and maintaining ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel. You will also serve as a key resource for the electronic medical record for physicians and other members of the healthcare team.
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for your delegated tasks while supporting department operational needs. This is a full-time position working 12-hour night shifts.
