About the Role
We are a national janitorial cleaning company seeking reliable individuals to maintain the cleanliness and safety of shopping malls and major retail department stores. This role is designed for team players who take pride in creating a pleasant, drug-free work environment for shoppers and staff alike.
As a member of the housekeeping team, you will work under the direction of a local Site Manager, balancing independent tasks with collaborative team efforts. Your day typically involves performing consistent cleaning duties either before or after mall and store operating hours, or patrolling the facility during open hours to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
What You'll Experience
Your day-to-day responsibilities vary based on the time of day. Before or after hours, you will focus on deep cleaning tasks, including dusting, wiping, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing various surfaces like vinyl, stone, and carpet. You may operate specialized equipment such as diesel-fired hot water pressure washers for sidewalks, floor scrubbers, and compactors for trash and cardboard. During open hours, your focus shifts to maintenance and safety: patrolling on foot to spot spills or hazards, performing touch-up cleaning, restocking restrooms, and managing food court tables and trays.
