About the Role

The Occupational Therapist at Aveanna is responsible for the evaluation, coordination, and administration of high-quality occupational therapy services. This full-time position is based in Charlotte County and operates on a Monday through Friday schedule. The role exists to ensure patients receive comprehensive care that aligns with physician-prescribed plans while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

In this position, you will serve as a vital resource consultant for clinical staff, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and families to coordinate services and manage discharge planning. You will be expected to provide written evaluations and Plans of Care that define patient needs, goals, and expected outcomes, ensuring seamless communication across the healthcare team. Additionally, you may supervise other personnel, such as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs), and participate in patient case conferences and in-services to support continuous professional development.

Hiring Process & Compliance

Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, possess a current and unrestricted license in the state of practice, and maintain current CPR certification.
