As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Aveanna, you will utilize your clinical expertise to provide skilled education, treatment, and interventions as directed by the Physician within the home health plan of care. This role is designed to optimize patient well-being through active collaboration with interdisciplinary team members, ensuring seamless communication and pertinent updates throughout the care journey.
You will serve as a vital link in the rehabilitation process, treating clients to relieve pain and restore function to maintain maximum performance. Your day-to-day involves providing skilled therapy services, teaching patients and caregivers the safe use of assistive devices, and educating families on rehabilitation carry-over techniques. From planning discharges to maintaining strict confidentiality and timely documentation, you will ensure continuity of qualitative patient care while adhering to the ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
This is a PRN position requiring visits Monday through Friday in Manatee County.
