About the Role
The HazMat Field Driver/Technician is a vital part of our operations, responsible for transporting various waste streams to designated generator sites safely and adequately. This role involves operating Class A trucks, including tractor-trailers pulling roll-offs, tankers, and van trailers, as well as straight trucks on a periodic basis. You will perform pickups of both bulk and containerized hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations regarding placarding, loading securement, and load segregation.
In this position, you will not only drive but also function as a technician on lab pack and field service projects. You will interact directly with customers to ensure satisfaction and assist in maintaining good housekeeping at facilities. The role operates Monday through Friday with variable scheduling, which may include 3-4 overnight shifts per week based on customer locations and delivery requirements. While most weekends and holidays are off, occasional exceptions may occur for critical business needs.
