About the Role

As a Pet Stylist at Petco, you will be the expert behind the scenes, providing professional grooming services that ensure every pet looks and feels their best. This role is about more than just technical skills; it is about showcasing your creativity and passion for animals in a dynamic environment.

Your day-to-day involves performing expert-level grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning. You will prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of every animal in your care, monitoring them for signs of discomfort or illness. Beyond the grooming table, you will interact professionally with pet parents, offering custom recommendations on grooming maintenance and at-home care to promote the overall health of their pets.

This position offers a clear path for growth within the grooming salon, with opportunities to advance into roles such as Grooming Salon Leader, Grooming Mentor, or Grooming Instructor. You will work with state-of-the-art equipment and have access to all necessary supplies, allowing you to focus entirely on delivering exceptional care.

Hiring Process

To join our team, candidates must successfully complete the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or possess previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program. We look for individuals with a genuine passion for animals, expert knowledge of various dog breeds, and the ability to handle pets of all sizes and temperaments with care.
