About the Role
The Chester County Forensic Analyst is a civilian position embedded within a law enforcement environment, working directly alongside County Detectives. This role serves as a critical bridge between complex digital evidence and the judicial process. The analyst is responsible for the forensic examination of computers, cellular telephones, and various electronic devices to recover data, followed by rigorous analysis to draw conclusions and formulate comprehensive reports.
Beyond technical examination, the analyst supports Chester County Detectives and collaborates with various law enforcement agencies to review recovered data and explain findings. The position requires a high degree of flexibility to work independently, manage confidential matters, and interface effectively with all levels of County management and external law enforcement partners. The role also involves assisting with search warrants, the seizure of digital evidence, and providing expert testimony in court hearings and trials.
