About the Role

The Food Runner serves as a critical link between the kitchen and the dining room, playing a vital part in elevating the restaurant's service standards. This role is designed for individuals who are well-trained on food menus and floor plans, ensuring a seamless dining experience for every guest.

Day in the Life

As a Food Runner, you will act as the liaison between culinary and front-of-house teams. Your primary focus is delivering expedited food to the correct table and position numbers with purpose and professionalism. Every interaction at the table is an opportunity to engage guests; you will place each plate down thoughtfully, providing a standardized, detailed description of the dish.

Beyond food delivery, you will be expected to remove soiled plates whenever the opportunity arises. Success in this role requires a friendly demeanor and the ability to answer guest questions regarding Garces Group products. You will work in a fast-paced atmosphere, standing or walking throughout an 8-10 hour shift, while adhering to written and verbal instructions from management.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to lift plates from waist level up to 20 lbs., covering distances of approximately 20 feet, which may involve stairs.
• Basic knowledge of customer service and the ability to follow instructions in a high-energy environment.
• Preferred: Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience.
