This position serves as a trainee dedicated to learning the mechanics of fire sprinkler system installation. Working under the close guidance of a Sprinkler Fitter, you will assist in site clean-up, unloading, staging, and distributing materials. Your day-to-day responsibilities include cutting and threading pipe, as well as installing and testing fire sprinkler systems. You will partner with the Fitter to complete tasks on job sites in a timely and effective manner, ensuring a safe environment for yourself, co-workers, and customers.
A qualified trainee is a responsible and reliable individual with a general mechanical background and a strong customer service orientation. You must possess a valid driver's license, a driving record that meets company requirements, and reliable transportation to and from job sites. The role requires the ability to follow verbal instructions, work independently with moderate supervision, and demonstrate the initiative to learn trade skills. You should be capable of working in scissor/boom lifts and on ladders as necessary, along with possessing strong organization skills and a positive attitude.
Continued employment is contingent on successfully obtaining applicable Oklahoma state licensing. As part of your growth, you will learn applicable fire protection codes and maintain company equipment and vehicles in accordance with company procedures. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn the trade of fire sprinkler installation, inspection, and servicing.
