About the Role
Based in Fort Myers, FL, this role is responsible for fire alarm installations, retrofits, and tenant build-outs, as well as testing, servicing, inspection, and repair. You will perform on-site emergency troubleshooting and programming, identify code and non-conformance issues, and prepare accurate, timely service tickets and reports.
In this position, you will program and commission newly installed fire alarm systems and layout, assemble, and install low-voltage equipment, ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations. You will test all features and equipment to ensure optimum functioning, perform inspections, and diagnose problems. Additionally, you will read and follow product manuals, educate customers on system care and maintenance, and write and submit customer status and completion reports. You will also oversee and direct helpers and/or installers.

Requirements
- verifiedAssociate or technical degree and 5+ years of experience
- verifiedElectrical construction including wiring and conduit installation
- verifiedKnowledge of NEC (National Electric Code)
- verifiedKnowledge of NFPA 72
- verifiedExperience with Notifier
- verifiedNICET I or II preferred
- verifiedBasic computer skills
- verifiedExperience working with laptop and/or iPad
