Role Summary
Driven by continued expansion, the company is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst who excels at the intersection of finance and data. In this role, you will be responsible for owning reporting processes and financial modeling, constructing dashboards that reveal critical insights, and providing leadership with the quantitative data necessary to make confident, data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Dashboard Development: Build and maintain dashboards using tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms to highlight key operational and financial metrics.
- Data Management: Write SQL queries to extract, clean, and structure data for both recurring and ad-hoc analysis.
- Financial Modeling: Own financial models, including budgets, forecasts, and scenario planning, ensuring accurate reconciliations back to actuals.
- Variance Analysis: Track budget versus actuals and provide clear, actionable insights to explain variances.
- Reporting Automation: Automate reporting for core business metrics, including revenue, margin, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), and cash flow.
- Strategic Support: Partner with leadership to prepare board materials, investor updates, and support strategic projects.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with finance, operations, and growth teams to define data requirements for new initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced expertise in Excel.
- Strong SQL skills, including the ability to join large tables, create Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and optimize queries for BigQuery.
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI.
- Domain Knowledge: Comfortable with accounting fundamentals.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into a clear, compelling narrative.
