The Research and Exploratory Development Department (REDD) accelerates innovation by collaborating with APL Sectors and Mission Areas to realize technology breakthroughs. Our goal is to solve mission-critical problems in national security, space, and biological sciences. As part of the Department Operations Group, you will join a hard-working team providing exceptional business operations support to our stakeholders.
As a Financial Analyst in REDD, you will play a critical role in managing elements of our overhead portfolio and providing strategic analysis that enables leadership to make game-changing decisions. You will partner with internal customers and stakeholders to drive the financial success and operational efficiency of the department.
In this role, you will prepare and deliver clear, accurate financial briefings to senior leaders, emphasizing insight, precision, and clarity. You will analyze staff charging trends to identify risks and optimization opportunities, integrating data from multiple systems to generate both ad-hoc and routine analyses. Additionally, you will develop long-range forecasting models to inform REDD's strategic priorities and work with leadership on labor and non-labor plans.
